Résumé

For three hundred years, the sky has been grey. In the quiet village of Ashford, William Crowe knows little of the world beyond his grandfather's farm, the goats he tends, and the strange things he has always sensed in stones, wind, and living creatures. He has never understood why animals seem to trust him, or why the old stories of the God War feel strangely familiar. Then William enters the forbidden forest and awakens something that has been waiting for his bloodline for centuries.
The Horn Fragment is the last piece of the crown once carried by the Divine Shepherd, the keeper of a scattered herd of legendary creatures said to have lived beneath the stars. When the Fragment answers William, he learns that he is the last heir of a forgotten lineage, and that twelve sky beasts are scattered across the world, hidden in ordinary forms and waiting for someone capable of finding them.
But William is not the only one searching. The Order of Ash Hunters has spent generations hunting the Shepherd's lost power. They believe the sky-herd are too dangerous to remain beyond human control. Other powers have begun to take an interest as well, and some see the creatures not as living beings to protect, but as a source of power that could change the balance between kingdoms. Guided by Caelum, the ancient guardian who has waited three centuries for the Shepherd's heir, William must leave the life he knows behind.
His journey will take him across villages, forests, deserts, mountains, and forgotten ruins, where he will meet allies, enemies, old secrets, and creatures that will choose for themselves whether to follow him. As the scattered sky-herd begin to gather, William discovers that being a Shepherd has little to do with command. It is about listening. It is about earning trust. And it is about protecting something powerful without ever believing it belongs to you.
Across The Copper Horizon and The Seven Scattered Horns, William's journey becomes more than a search for twelve legendary creatures. It becomes a struggle over what should happen to a legacy built from ancient power: whether it will once again become a weapon, or become something the world has never had before. The sky-herd are returning. The last Shepherd has found them. And the road ahead is only beginning.
