Résumé
Kaiju Task Force: Code Omega - Season One, Book 1 was my chance to go back and do a soft reboot to the Kaiju Task Force lore. I love my stories, but at the time, I had no idea what I was doing-I was just winging it. Since then, I've learned so much, and I wanted to take the opportunity to redo things better. So, I hope you forgive me as I attempt to give you a better story. On Earth 856, a world where dinosaurs never went extinct and Kaiju reign supreme, Omega, the Queen of the Ocean, prepares to bring forth the next generation of her royal bloodline.
Pregnant and searching for a safe place to lay her eggs, she basks on the shores of a prehistoric coastline, unaware that a deadly predator lurks in the depths. Glacirath, a powerful and ruthless Kaiju she has never encountered before, sees her vulnerability and seizes the opportunity to strike. As the brutal battle unfolds, Omega fights valiantly, but the strain of her pregnancy leaves her at a disadvantage.
Just when it seems she may fall, her mate Rendakar arrives, clashing with Glacirath in a desperate attempt to protect her. Forced to make an agonizing choice, Omega flees into the ocean, knowing she must survive for the sake of her unborn offspring. But as she swims deeper, a strange force pulls at her senses-a rift, a tear in reality itself. Drawn toward the anomaly, she is suddenly and violently sucked into another world.
When she emerges, she finds herself in an unfamiliar ocean-our world, off the coast of Alaska. The water tastes different, the creatures here are small and fragile, and best of all, she senses no other Kaiju. Trapped in a foreign reality, Omega must adapt, survive, and find a new sanctuary to lay her eggs. She is a mother now, and nothing will stand in her way. As humanity scrambles to comprehend the arrival of this colossal force, a new era dawns-one where Kaiju walk among us.
And Omega will defend her offspring. at all costs
