Jesus the Child We Worship

The weeks before Christmas rush by, and we are hardly prepared to celebrate the extraordinary celebrations of God coming among us as a child. Ted Witham invites us to slow down with the Scripture readings set by the daily lectionary and to prepare for this Christmas with daily meditations and invitations to activities in music and art. Centred around a theology of the child, the daily meditations lead us to reflect on the importance of childhood and what children can teach adults.
The journey human beings take from chlldhood to adulthood is placed alongside the journey God takes to become a Child incarnate among us on Christmas Day. The readings range from one paragraph to four or five paragraphs, and each can be read slowly in a few minutes, and reflected on during the day. This book will enrich preparation for Christmas.
