Jess Steele

Detective Jess Steele is investigating a mysterious murder.  With hints of witchcraft shrouding the scene, the obvious person to question first is Alestria Whitby-a renowned woman in Raveryn Ridge due to her family's historical connection to Moonacre Mansion. Ally is reluctant to get involved in the murders which seem to be happening on her doorstep.  Having moved out of the mansion due to family difficulties, Ally now lives in a rustic cabin, in the midst of Moonacre forest.  She believes herself to be content in her isolation-until she meets Jess.
Ally is shocked when she meets the enigmatic Detective.  Jess immediately captivates her attention, and she is stunned by her reaction to the gorgeous woman.  Strong, brave and persistent-Jess provides a challenge for Ally, and it seems like she may have finally met her match.  With Jess insisting that Ally assists with the case, she finally agrees. Blessed with the gift of sight, Ally is able to find victims, inform the police of information she instinctively knows and ultimately, lead them to their killer. As the case continues, so does the relationship between Jess and Ally.  An unexpected attraction develops as the two women spend more time in each other's company.
One problem remains-and it has been an integral part of Ally's extraordinary existence for as long as she can remember.Ally is cursed-and the ancient curse states that anyone she loves will die. Despite the curse, Ally's desire to get closer to Jess becomes increasingly difficult to ignore.  As the two women bond, chemistry peaks and electricity sparks.
