Résumé

James is a wonderful book in the New Testament, and the fact that James was a brother of Christ makes it even more special. Although it is a short book, it is filled with practical advice for living out our faith. The book serves as a practical how-to manual for living a Christian life; it emphasizes the importance of putting our faith into action. James asserts that if our faith does not lead to action, it is dead.
Moreover, the book teaches us that faith involves not only hearing God's word, but also doing it. One way we can demonstrate our faith is by refusing to show favoritism toward anyone. James also addresses the importance of our speech, encouraging us to control our tongues. He points out that if we can master this, we can gain control over other aspects of our lives as well. For such a small book, it delivers a powerful punch.
