Résumé
Sometimes Jake Murray has to break a few bones when he collects money on behalf of loan sharks. It's the punishment meted out to those who are overdue. On one such job, he comes across a girl about to be attacked. He saves her life and takes her away to safety. But she brings a lot of heat, and pretty soon, both of them are hunted. While all this is going on, his former teacher hires him for a case.
At first, he refuses, stating that he's not really a private investigator. The licence on his website is fake. But she couldn't care less. And what's more, he would do it for free after the trouble he had caused the school back in the day. Feeling remorse, he accepts. Things turn even deadlier when he discovers the girl's connection to the ex-teacher, loan shark, and her attacker. It leaves him with two choices: fight or flight.
