Der Doppelband 139/140 des Jahrbuchs für die Geschichte des Protestantismus in Österreich versammelt Beiträge, die auf Vorträgen bei der Tagung "evangelisches:erinnern" (Wien, April 2023) basieren. Die Beiträge gehen den Fragen nach, wie Evangelische erinnern, wie "Evangelisches" erinnert wird und welche Erinnerungskulturen sich inner- und außerhalb des österreichischen Protestantismus identifizieren lassen.
Expert:innen aus unterschiedlichen wissenschaftlichen Bereichen sowie Repräsentant:innen lokaler Erinnerungsinitiativen und -projekte aus Pfarrgemeinden und Museen suchen nach Spuren verschütteter Erinnerung, fragen nach praktizierten Erinnerungskulturen, nach Selbst- und nach Geschichtsbildern im österreichischen Protestantismus und deren Relevanz für die Gegenwart.
