It Was Only Once

Tom was a homicide detective. Connie was a new detective he was training. She proved to be more than he ever expected. There was a spark between the two detectives. Tom has violated one of his personal codes. That code was to never get involved with a woman where he worked. He'd seen that happen to other officers and detectives and while it worked some of the time, it often didn't.  It didn't matter as they needed each other.
