Résumé
The beginning of a grand scale afro-futuristic and fantasy action-adventure series. It's a multi-topical journey about family unity, cultural-generational loss to reconnection, ancestralism, lucid dreams, psychic powers, astral/afterlife travel and time travel. It all interconnects through the lives of both young aged and eventually teenage boy Kahlon and girl Crystal. Both are first separate, before so many intense mysterious, paranormal and futuristic events happen to bring them together.
They start to unveil specific ancestors and descendants their both connected too across various points in time, world geography, and even beyond the physical world itself. Book 1 solely introduces Kahlon; Book 2 introduces Crystal. Any age that's willing and can read, can read, so I'll never discourage literacy for anybody, even more-so the youth, so many need it. With influence from cinema, note that nothing is "Rated R" but given the level of writing detail, I think of it for both teenagers (14 and up) and any aged adults.
