RITA Award-winner Anne McAllister was born in California and spent formative summer vacations on a small ranch in Colorado, where she developed her idea of "the perfect hero", as well as a weakness for dark-haired, handsome lone-wolf type guys. She found one in the university library and they've now been sharing "happily ever afters" for over thirty years.
As a child books took Robyn Donald to places far away from her village in Northland, New Zealand.
Then, as well as becoming a teacher, marrying and raising two children, she discovered romances and read them voraciously. So much she decided to write one. When her first book was accepted by Harlequin she felt she'd arrived home. Robyn still lives in Northland, using the landscape as a setting for her work. Her life is enriched by friends she's made among writers and readers. Chantelle Shaw enjoyed a happy childhood making up stories in her head.
Always an avid reader, Chantelle discovered Mills & Boon as a teenager and during the times when her children refused to sleep, she would pace the floor with a baby in one hand and a book in the other! Twenty years later she decided to write one of her own. Writing takes up most of Chantelle's spare time, but she also enjoys gardening and walking. She doesn't find domestic chores so pleasurable!
