Résumé

Inikpi is a collection of five very interesting stories. One of them, The Autobiography of OgbuefiAkukalia, was shortlisted for the Gover Story Prize in 2018. Based on a true life story, Inikpi is the story of a princess who accepted the oracle's decision to be buried alive to save her people, the Igala, from their age long enemies. Ogbadu, who fell in love with her after rescuing her from some Jukun warriors earlier, would have none of that.
What the duo do next will make Romeo and Juliet look like beginners. Find out from this book. The Autobiography of Ogbuefi Akukalia is the story of a rather proud Igbo chief, Ogbuefi Okechukwu Akukalia, told personally without regards to the rules guiding autobiographical writing. It is highly entertaining. Embers, Letter to my ancestors and Ayisha are other equally intriguing stories that will leave readers spellbound.
All the stories combine to highlight several aspects of the culture of people from all the geo-political zones that make up Nigeria!
