Imperialism In Turmoil, Socialism In Prospect

The year 2021 is a year of imperialism in turmoil not only in the heartlands of monopoly capitalism but also in their hinterlands, such as the underdeveloped semicolonial and semifeudal countries like the Philippines. The entire world capitalist system is stricken by the grave crises of overproduction and depression, the plunder of the environment, global heating, pandemics and the revival of the threat of nuclear war due to intensified inter-imperialist contradictions. All the fundamental problems of the capitalist system have taken monstrous proportions such as a few hundreds of billionaires owning at least 50 percent of the world's assets, the plunder and ruination of the environment, global heating, pandemics and the growing threat of nuclear war. But the proletariat and people of the world are waging anti-imperialist and democratic mass struggles in the imperialist countries and on a global scale.
There are revolutionary armed struggles persevering in a number of underdeveloped countries. ... All these are the prelude to the resurgence of the world proletarian-socialist revolution.
