This book which provides practice in how to write Task One Letters for the IELTS General Training Module is essential preparation for all serious students who are determined to achieve a high IELTS band score. Achieving a high IELTS band in Writing is not easy! There are no magic short-cuts. Writing any type of text is difficult and requires much practice and effort. The tasks in this book offer a wide variety of letter types, ranging from formal letters to managers to informal letters to friends and acquaintances.
Each individual task contains:> A Strong Response (often called a "model") which shows you how the task should be accomplished.> A Commentary which highlights important points in different paragraphs of the response, dealing with both content and language. The notes are varied, comment on how the writer has interpreted the task, draw attention to the significant features of a response and deal in depth with the language that arises.
The way in which a consistent tone can be achieved is stressed throughout. This book is specifically aimed at those who are serious about their IELTS exams and determined to reach their goal of going on to further academic studies or qualifying for entry to another country.
