Résumé

This thing we call life is not a straight and narrow line.  It's not the shortest straight line segment that leads us from one point to another. Rather it's a crooked path, that twists and turns, that goes up hills and down hills, across swift waters, and meanders through peaceful meadows, and all the time with dangers, and rewards along the way.  We sometimes take one step forward and a couple of steps back trying to get it right.  Eventually, we get there, from the cradle to the grave, with just a few scratches and scars from the experiences of the walk. This book is a almost biographical look at the life of the author.
It is written by Ray Steelman, the award winning author, the harmonica player on YouTube, and a fellow journeyman, that you may have passed along your own journey through life.  Ray's books and harmonica works have been marketed by Books-A-Million, Kobo, Hohner, Inc., Apple Books, Scribed, Overdrive, Baker and Taylor, Barnes and Noble, Gaylord Entertainment,  Opryland Theme Park,  Smashwords, Draft2Digital, Walmart, and  tourist attractions and local and regional book stores.  With over 1, 000 TV appearances and many live performances and lectures,  Ray has told many of these stories and played his harmonica for the past 55 years or so. Sit back, grab an easy chair and Ray will take you along with him to Flintville, Tennessee where Ray was the first to see the Flintville Monster, Bigfoot to most of the world.  He will hold your hand as he tells the funny, yet sad story of growing up poor in Tennessee.  Laugh with him as you read about his dangling participle, and tells his secret about the best thing about growing old.  He will tickle your funny bone when he relays the story about the time that he was certain that he had "Old Timer's Disease" and warns you about the "three-Fingered" shop teachers.
Ray's thirteen year tenure at the largest high school in Alabama led to innovative tricks that he applied such as, his being one-sixteenth Black and another on overnight becoming muscle bound These stories are mostly funny with deep overtones of seriousness.  This may be Ray's best book yet!
