TaJo is the pen name for co-authors Tanya Satre and Jolene Whitten, two sisters who are always up for a new literary adventure. From the time when, as children, Jolene began making up bedtime stories for Tanya, to the time years later, when Tanya began a conversation with "What if people could hibernate, " TaJo Tales have been brewing in the background, waiting to be revealed. She believes that new worlds, relationships, science, and family are subjects in need of a youthful and fiery presence. Creating confident and strong characters who battle to keep the world safe is paramount to the core of her writing. Having lived abroad, experiencing diverse cultures and decidedly cool places, Tanya has a unique ability to view the world through a different lens. Her hope for the future is that young adults find adventure and hope in saving our home planet while finding peace and friendship.
In her free time, Tanya enjoys watching movies, especially sci-fi and comedies, traveling, and keeping up with the latest pop culture trends. Beaches with beautiful sunsets are her go-to place, and spending time with her daughters and her beloved poodle Sam is her favorite pastime.
