Theology prior to Christianity was not humanitarian and was abusive and coercive. Christianity reversed all the errant theories and removed from sight all the occult and superstitious writings it deemed represented the opposition to the true principles of this reform, equality, protection of the innocent, honor and devotion to the saintly. How this came about reveals essential insights about their methodology and reasoning when they realized how and why the reform of an abusive world was possible.
