Many Christians read the Bible, yet few ask an essential question: How should the Bible be read?This book argues that Scripture was never intended to be interpreted apart from the Apostolic Church. Before there was a New Testament canon, there was the Church-proclaiming the Gospel, celebrating the liturgy, preserving Apostolic Tradition, and passing on the faith through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Drawing on Scripture, the early Church, and the Apostolic tradition shared by the Catholic , Orthodox and other Apostolic Churches, this book presents a Christ-centered approach to reading the Bible. Rather than beginning with isolated verses or private interpretation, readers are invited to encounter Christ through the Gospel and to understand the rest of Scripture in its proper context.
