How Crimes Were Committed and Investigated in Ancient Times

The book consists of five stories linked by a common theme. The plots are taken from the Old Testament and involve crimes and their investigation. The book differs from traditional historical literature in its non-trivial interpretation of biblical events, which will be of interest to those who are fascinated by history. The stories are written in the form of detective novels, which will attract the attention of lovers of crime fiction. I have used the technique of harmless parody: the investigation I have invented is conducted by detectives known from classical literature (Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple, Inspector Maigret). The parody, as well as the irony and humor that the author has not skimped on, should please readers. The ideas behind the book are explained in more detail in the preface.
