House of Pieszczoch 1. House of Pieszczoch, #1

Karl Pieszczoch was an officer in the Polish Legion supporting Napoleon until he was maimed at Borodino in 1812 and invalided home. Time travelers arrived on his Earth and offered advanced medicine to replace arms and legs for any veterans willing to enlist in a new Polish Legion. Karl worked for the High King Nikolai for eight years, rising in his service to become a King's Councilor, earning the command of his own expedition among the timelines.
His goal was wealth, power, and the independance of Poland. He had the High King's own example to follow and his own twin to assist him. There wasn't much that could stop him, aside from his own human nature and a universe that doesn't like to be predictable.
