I am a PhD research scientist trained in the area of synthetic organic chemistry and coordination chemistry. My research has been at the interface of chemistry and biology with a strong focus on medicinal chemistry.
I have personally experienced the impact of cancer in my family and several have died due to breast, lung and colon cancer. My father was diagnosed with colon cancer several years ago; fortunately the polyps were successfully removed though surgery and he is still alive today. I have led and managed research projects particularly focused on human and animal health. My experience of the impact of cancer while growing up led me to pursue research to discover novel medicinal agents that can be used to treat cancer.
I have published several research articles in international journals in the field of cancer drug discovery. I have a very strong interest in this devastating disease and my aim is to increase awareness and educate the general public about it.
