Holli Harris hates what she's doing with her life. She's always wanted to be a romance writer, but instead she's ghost-writing space operas to make a living. One of her closest friends, Heather, recently time-traveled to medieval Scotland, and Holli decides to follow, leaving her crummy job behind to hopefully find the man of her dreams. Bryson McClain sees no reason to marry immediately, for as soon as he does, he will have to take on the responsibilities of the laird of Clan McClain.
After the umpteenth lecture from his father, Bryson agrees to marry the next person to come back in time, as both his mother and grandmother have traveled from the twenty-first century.
