Résumé

Ludwig has never been a soldier. A childhood injury left him lame in one leg, which has allowed him to largely sit out the war on the sidelines, as a translator. Fleeing his passionless marriage, he accepts an assignment in Japan, allowing him to return to the land of his youth. But the year is 1945. Ludwig is tempted by love and, in furtively tampering with his translations of classified documents, by the chance to do something heroic.
But none of that will save him...

À propos des auteurs

A clinical psychologist by trade, Thilde Barboni is also the author of numerous short stories and works of fiction, including nearly a dozen novels published in Belgium, France, and Switzerland, some of which have been translated into German and Korean. Beyond her fiction writing, Thilde has also tried her hand as a playwright and author of radio fiction, and teaches translation in Mons (Belgium).
Her work as a comics scriptwriter includes the third volume of the crime fiction series "Agence Interpol, " set in Rome, as well as the graphic novel "Hibakusha, " illustrated by Cinna, and most recently "DOW, " all with Dupuis (Europe Comics in English). Olivier Cinna was born in Caen, France in 1972. From a young age, in parallel with his academic work, he studied classical dance at the Caen Conservatory, as well as drawing at the Caen Fine Arts School.
During his teenage years, he began to produce his first comic book pages, ultimately leading him to move to Brussels to pursue his passion for the art at the Saint-Luc Institute. Today, he lives in Brussels with his family. In 2017, alongside writer Thilde Barboni, he published the striking graphic novel "Hibakusha" (Dupuis, Europe Comics in English).
