"The Herd Mind - Why we agree with the group even when they are wrong" revisits the famous Asch Conformity Experiments of the 1950s. Solomon Asch showed participants two cards with lines of obviously different lengths. He asked them to match the lines. The catch: Everyone else in the room was an actor who intentionally gave the wrong answer.
Psychologist Sarah Line details the disturbing result: 75% of participants eventually gave the wrong answer just to fit in.
