Heartdrop is a chapbook of poems offered to the Beloved. BetweenBetween her eyes and the palpitating moonis my firmament of desireI watch poems hanging on pink branches, like wind chimesresounding her beautyto the naked earth - half truth, half fantasyYet everything meets in her gaze:flowers open their petals to the sunand the oceans evaporate back into the skyA strange type of alchemy where everythingfinds anything, everything except my throbbing heartLooking out at the horizonin the sweltering heat of the desert where I standI hear the chimes like a soprano of stars, and the windfurther affirming her reality, and furtherevaporating myselfinto fantasy - that I leap to faith, bitingthe edge of the moonUntil her waters extinguishmy fire.

I asked "I am picking up the remaining piecesfrom my last experiment" he answered I watched, curious and steady'They are like shards of glass, but soft and bleeding' I said"Yes, it is my heart" he replied'And what did you discover?' "That nothing in the worldis heavierthan a broken heart..."I did not know what to sayso I just watched him gatherthe pieces of his heart in his hands "But, " he explained, "you should not allowthe mistakes of othersto take away your crown and kindnessotherwise, you will become just like themSo continue to write your own fairytalebecause it is as real as the sun, moonand stars  "It is just that, sometimes, your heart needs to be brokento let love in."
