Harry - Baltic Memory - Volume I: The Amber RoomSome memories should stay buried. Harry is about to discover why. Harry grew up in Gdynia believing that every mystery had a map, every map had a hidden passage, and somewhere beyond the Baltic Sea waited the legendary Amber Room. As a child, he searched for it with a flashlight, a piece of rope, a cheese sandwich-and the absolute confidence of someone who had no idea what he was doing.
Years later, childhood gives way to bills, work, mistakes, broken plans and the ordinary chaos of adult life. The Amber Room becomes nothing more than an old memory. Until one evening, Harry finds a piece of amber from his childhood. Inside it is a tiny crack resembling the letter K. Then an unknown man calls him. He knows about the amber. The next day, an old photograph of Gdynia appears beneath Harry's door.
On the back is a message:"Don't look for the room. Look for the road."Suddenly, Harry's childhood obsession is no longer a joke. The trail leads back to Gdynia in the 1920s, to Antoni Wysocki and Helena, to mysterious wartime shipments, forgotten documents and a secret that someone has protected for generations. What began as a legend slowly becomes a puzzle connecting the past with the present-and Harry realizes that finding the Amber Room may not be the real mystery at all.
Along the way, there is friendship, love, mistakes, danger, unexpected humour and the stubborn determination of ordinary people who keep going even when they have no idea where the road leads.
