Alyssa Ford is an enthusiastic dog trainer with a passion for helping dogs and their people build strong, positive relationships. With two years of experience leading foundational obedience classes in a group setting, she specializes in positive reinforcement training methods that foster trust and communication. Growing up in a home filled with animals-including a variety of dogs, birds, fish, turtles, and small pets-Alyssa developed a deep connection with animals from an early age.
She often found it easier to communicate with them than with people, which naturally led her to a career working with dogs. Alyssa shares her life with two female Shih Tzu, Cookie and Smokie, who spent much of their lives as breeding dogs before finding their forever home with her. Through patience, trust, and training, they have made remarkable progress together. Now, they accompany her everywhere, even having their own special space in the library at work.
Beyond training, Alyssa and her girls love to travel with their family, embracing adventures that include fishing, camping, and exploring new areas. She enjoys learning about new places and experiencing the world alongside her dogs, making every journey an opportunity to grow and connect.
