Gully, the shark who wanted to know himself' is a children's story, intended for ages 6 to 8, which tells the story of a shark who lives in the sea with his family, happy and content. But when Gully gets older, he decides to leave his home to start a long cycle of adventures, in which he will try to prove to everyone that he is the best shark that has ever lived. However, his obsession with being perfect will lead him to forget his family and friends.
Then one day he gets the news that his mother is about to die. Initially he ignores it, but later realises that the information is true, so he decides to rush home. When he arrives, he sadly realises that there is nothing he can do about it, which will provoke a profound crisis in his life and in the values for which he had always fought.
