Résumé

Grumpy Grouper is the ninth in a collection of illustrated short stories for children and young adults. Reading these stories will help kids to "get their minds right" about how to be a loving, creative, adventurous, and kind person. Grumpy Grouper wasn't always grumpy-but after his parents' divorce, he couldn't shake the feeling that life was unfair. No matter what he tried, he just didn't fit in with the other fish.
Then one day, while snacking on a lobster, everything changed. Lenny Lobster offers Grumpy a deal: let him go, and he'll teach Grumpy how to smile, make friends, and explore the wonders of the sea. Together, they visit puffer-fish, dolphins, and even a wise old octopus. Along the way, Grumpy learns about family, resilience, and what it really means to be yourself. Full of colorful ocean adventures, gentle humor, and a positive message, Grumpy Grouper is a delightful story for children who sometimes feel out of place-or just a little bit grumpy.
Perfect for bedtime reading, classroom discussions, and anyone who believes even the grouchiest fish can learn to smile. Themes include: Family & friendship Coping with change Emotions & feelings Marine life adventure For kids ages 5-9 who love fish, funny stories, and big-hearted adventures!
Mark Kodish possesses a Can-Do attitude. A fierce believer in self-development, he embraces the idea that people can do anything they set their minds to. This passion inspired and motivated him to create stories that teach children fundamental life skills from a fun, relatable point of view.  His debut Get Your Mind Right children's series includes hand-drawn chalk illustrations and stories little kids will love and connect with. With a B.
S. in Education from Florida State University and an A. A. in Marketing from Miami-Dade Junior College, he has learned the value of sharing meaningful messages with varied personalities. In his younger years, Mark became a flight instructor to fulfill his desire for adventure and the freedom to challenge his need for accomplishment. Currently the CEO of a small promotional products business he runs with his wife, Roz, Mark has had a diverse career before turning to one of his many passions: writing.
Other interests include baking artisanal breads and pastries, drawing, guitar, and more!
