Résumé

AT FIRST, THE PANDEMICS DECIMATED THE OLD. Written in 2015, before the coronavirus outbreak, Gray Silence is a dystopian novel in which seniors' end-of-life care is now in the hands of the State. An ideal lifestyle in an idyllic setting... But the reality is quite different as the State discreetly gets rid of the most vulnerable. Alexandre Geoffroy is a gifted and charismatic lawyer who has everything going for him: he's great with women, drives a Jaguar, and frequents the high circles of power.
He is also the mastermind behind the Healthy Villages for Seniors, facilities that offer to take care of elderly relatives with dignity. On paper, this new policy is ideal for those who wish to be relieved of responsibility for their parents without facing exorbitant costs. What does the State get in return ? Management of the parents' assets. For the attorney, however, things turn sour very quickly...
He becomes the prime suspect in an ongoing investigation into the mysterious death of Joseph Patty, one of his clients of whom he has full guardianship. Geoffroy's mother's health is also a source of concern for him, as she seems to forget things... But there is no way he will hand her over to the Healthy Villages
