The aim with the aid of tips is to get you comfortable with satnav while you learn so that you will be fully at ease with it in the test and avoid any costly mistakes you may otherwise be led into. The problem with GPS hence satnavs is that the principle is so useful and popular that misconceptions have grown that lead many into a false sense of security.
The book removes those misconceptions emphasing that satnavs are a useful aid but not the whole story of getting you from A to B. The book explains in easy terms what is behind a satnav. The GPS, the map and how the software works, including how a route is calculated. The info is aimed at UK drivers as satnav has been introduced into the test.
