How can the damage and destruction of the natural and social environment be stopped? Walter Mostert (1936-1995) develops an ecology and poses the question of human identity. He does not vary well-known postulates and instructions for action, but finds real alternatives that are not part of the problem they purport to solve.
He argues from God to humanity and the cosmos, considers human beings in relation to God, to their fellow creatures (plants, animals, humans), and to themselves. According to the author, both the fate of humanity and the future of the world depend on who human beings really are and how they understand God, the earth and themselves. This outlines a path into the open.
