Believers in local churches of Galatia had received the forgiveness of sins and eternal life with God through believing that God's Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, died to pay the penalty for their sins, was buried to put those sins away, and was raised from the dead the third day to be alive forevermore to give them eternal life with God. Then false teaches came in and sought to pervert that truth, as is true all over the earth today, with God giving this letter to strengthen these believers in their faith back then and us also today!
