Résumé

God Has Spoken and God Said. is a deeply personal Christian testimony about despair, grace, grief, forgiveness, and the unbreakable promises of God. On a hillside, with a pistol in his hand and no strength left to continue, Hilgard Petrus Henning looked up and saw a single swallow gliding through the sky. That moment did not erase the pain, but it created enough space for him to choose life. Instead of writing a farewell letter, he wrote a poem about a swallow carried by the wind and held by one promise.
Years later, under a tree with tears soaking into his uniform, Hilgard cried out to God after reaching the end of his own strength. When he placed a dated leaf inside his Bible, his eyes fell on Isaiah 54:9-10, where God promised that His unfailing love would not be shaken and His covenant of peace would not be removed. From that day, the rainbow became more than a sign in the sky. It became a reminder of God's mercy, faithfulness, and covenant peace.
This book walks through Hilgard's testimony of depression, shame, forgiveness, loss, Parkinson's, and the death of his beloved wife, Petro. It also includes seven devotional reflections on God's promises, a poem written on the hill, and blank "Book of Promises" pages for readers to begin recording their own promises from God. For anyone who has felt forgotten, ashamed, broken, grieving, or too far gone, this book offers a simple message:God has spoken.
His promises still stand. And what He has said is enough.
