Glaube an Jesus. Das Verhältnis von Christologie und Soteriologie im Markus-Evangelium

In Teilen der neueren Markus-Forschung hat das sog. Messiasgeheimnis seine lange Vorrangstellung als Leitmotiv verloren, das der Auslegung bis dahin eine christologische Richtung vorgab. An seine Stelle treten nun soteriologische Schwerpunkte, die sich teilweise von der Christologie ablösen. Die vorliegende Arbeit antwortet auf diese Entwicklung, indem sie in einem eigenen exegetischen Beitrag das Verhältnis von Christologie und Soteriologie im Markus-Evangelium bestimmt - bewusst ohne Rückgriff auf das Messiasgeheimnis.
Im Ergebnis zeichnet sich im ältesten Evangelium ein christologischer Realismus ab, der die Grundlage der Soteriologie bildet. Relativierungen der markinischen Christologie gegenüber der Soteriologie lassen sich damit nicht bestätigen. [Belief in Jesus. The Relationship between Christology and Soteriology in the Gospel of Mark] In parts of recent Mark research, the so-called Messiah secret has lost its long-standing primacy as a leitmotif that had previously given Christological direction to interpretation.
It has now been replaced by soteriological emphases, some of which are detached from Christology. The present work responds to this development by determining the relationship between Christology and soteriology in the Gospel of Mark in a separate exegetical contribution - deliberately without resorting to the Messiah secret. The result is that the oldest Gospel reveals a Christological realism that forms the basis of soteriology.
Relativisations of Mark's Christology in relation to soteriology cannot therefore be confirmed.
