Résumé

This book presents a comprehensive overview of recent advances in the study of the Ginzburg-Landau (GL) equations. Organized into five chapters, it introduces the physical background of the GL equations before discussing the existence of global solutions and their asymptotic behavior in one- and higher-dimensional settings. It further examines applications of the GL equations to superconductivity and explores the connections between the GL model and harmonic maps.
Serving as both an introduction and a research reference, the book is intended for researchers in mathematics, physics, mechanics, and related disciplines, as well as university teachers, advanced undergraduate students, and graduate students wishing to deepen their understanding of the theory and applications of the Ginzburg-Landau equations.
Boling GUO is a Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and researcher at the Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics. His research interests include nonlinear evolution equations, soliton theory, infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, stochastic infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, and fractional partial differential equations. He has authored more than 800 journal papers and over 10 books. Yongsheng LI is Professor at the School of Mathematics, South China University of Technology.
His research interests include nonlinear evolution equations and infinite-dimensional dynamical systems. His scientific contributions include more than 80 publications in prestigious journals. Murong JIANG is Professor at the School of Information Science and Technology, Yunnan University. His research focuses on partial differential equations, artificial intelligence, image processing, and computer vision.
He has published more than 70 papers in leading national and international journals.
