Over a century ago Illusionist David Berkeley committed suicide in his mansion by the sea, thus dooming his restless spirit to wander forever. Or so the local legend goes. Part-time parapsychologist Professor Rhys Davies is writing a book on California hauntings. He believes a visit to the crumbling ruins of Berkeley House on the northern California coast will make a terrific chapter--and help him get over a bad romantic breakup.
