Résumé

In the seventh year since the Demon King took the Holy Sovereign captive. In the year 891 of the Great Brilliance Calendar, a new Demon King was born at the very bottom of the Abyss. An evil race, sealed away for over two centuries, emerged once more from the Abyss. The human race could not withstand them and suffered defeat after defeat. When the grand army pressed upon the Royal Court, the human Holy Sovereign fought the Demon King alone for three days and three nights.
Yet the God of Light's protection never descended, until at last the Holy Sovereign, exhausted, was overcome. In despair, the people cursed him, spat upon him, and swore his faith must be tainted. They even began to question the faith itself, allowing raging flames to consume the Blankenship Divine Hall. Three days later, the Demon Army mysteriously withdrew. With them vanished all trace of the Holy Sovereign.
Stricken with remorse, the people searched far and wide, yet none knew where the once gentle young monarch had gone. Spring winds melted the snow upon the ruins of the Divine Hall, and autumn breezes buried the withered herbs..It is said that in those days, as the price for withdrawal, the Demon King took with him a single human-his spoils of war and his slave. The slave bore violet eyes, and when he smiled, there was always a trace of sorrow-so very like the Holy Sovereign who once dwelt within the Divine Hall."I have come to the Abyss to plant a flower for you, to cleanse my sins."
