Résumé
A 55 year old woman lost in a sea of conflicting emotions travels to Ecuador and eventually the Galapagos Islands to discover her self-worth as a woman. She heals her heartbreak and soul's crisis through a visit to a Shaman in Illumina, meditative revelations in the great Cathedral at Quito, visions at the pyramids in Pedro Moncayo and through the whirling dervish ceremony of a Buddhist nun at Cotopaxi.
Her journey takes her diving in the Pacific Ocean where she takes a young lover while under the spell of the Southern Cross on board the Galapagos Sky. Upon her return from this remarkable voyage she finds the Shaman has transformed her into a Bodhisattva with a small army of Andean Devis surrounding her. With them in tow she assumes the identity of a modern day wise woman: Sexually powerful; owning a great spiritual wisdom and no longer afraid to use both strengths in her life.
