Gabriel Milano is the author of Aria's Adventures. Gabriel has spent many years perfecting his world, as well as his his craft, to bring you his first chapter book in Aria's Adventures series called Gaining a Guardian. He received most of his inspiration from many places, though undeniably the chief source is the writings of J. R. R. Tolkien, specifically his book The Silmarillion, a detailed mythic history of Middle Earth.
Certainly the whole of Yophea (Aria's World) in countless ways is very different from Middle Earth; however, the one thing that certainly is similar to Middle Earth is the symbolic nature of the world itself. Gabriel Milano is always immersing himself in some story. Whether he is watching an engaging movie or reading a fantasy novel by Brandon Sanderson or J. R. R. Tolkien, Gabriel is constantly consuming some new tale, trying to find out what makes that story great.
He has been asking such questions about stories (as well as about life), since college where he studied philosophy and theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He would later received a Master's degree in Theology in Marriage and Family at the John Paul II Institute in Washington, DC where Gabriel would come to more deeply understand the human person. Over the years following that, Gabriel has written multiple articles and given countless talks on virtue and human thriving.
That is why each book of his is inculcated with themes that give us insights into real human thriving.
