Teresa Garcia is a rural Northern California mountain woman living with her very creative autistic son now that her daughter has left the nest. She has health, intermittent mobility, and nerve pain issues that diagnoses and treatments are being sought for. She does not always have enough time for her own projects, and her work projects often eclipse her own personal projects. These factors have slowed her writing output.
Her illustration output has been slowed by her health, and her YouTube channel gives her another outlet as well. Despite this, she is open to art commissions, writing workshops, and one-on-one tutelage. Teresa writes mainly fantasy. Her works include poetry, short stories, and novels. She writes lore, quests, and challenges for the online browser-based role-play game Dragon Hearts. A hiatus is being taken from volunteering time and running the library program for Trotsdale and the Intersim system, due to health issues.
She illustrates through THG StarDragon Publishing and as a freelancer (as Teresa Amehana Garcia) by individual commission projects. She does freelance work as well in narration, editing, layout, and illustration, in addition to being the owner/operator of THG StarDragon Publishing. Teresa likes to work with multicultural and coming-of-age issues, being of multiple racial and cultural backgrounds herself.
She also likes to work with spiritual factors, mythology, and folklore.
