Phillip Tomasso is a multi-genre author with over twenty-seven novels published since 2000. It was back in 1984 when Tomasso realized he wanted to write. Diagnosed with a reading disability in school, he did all he could not to read. In seventh grade his class was assigned to read The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. Hinton was just sixteen when she wrote that book. Tomasso always considered himself something of a storyteller.
He decided he would attempt writing books that would inspire reluctant readers to read. When not writing books, Tomasso works the graveyard shift as a Fire / EMS Dispatcher for 911. Experiences in his professional positions have given him intimate perspective when fleshing out storylines. He is able to draw on knowledge obtained and utilize those around him and in the field to ensure his fiction is as factual as possible. D.
J. Van Oss writes sweet and sunny romantic comedies with an emphasis on second chances; kind of like the book version of finding an extra pack of icing for your cinnamon roll. He's also the author of five humor books under the name Dan Van Oss. When not writing you can find him working in the yard, walking the dog, or staying up too late watching BBC mysteries while eating honey peanut butter straight out of the jar. In addition to his writing, Ron is an avid outdoorsman who has traveled extensively across the Pacific to Nepal, New Zealand and other locations to hike and climb.
His two month-long stays in the Himalayas have deeply influenced his views of the world and the awesome beauty it holds. Everest and the people of the mountains in particular. Out of this experience was born "THE LION OF KHUM JUNG", a novel set in the Himalayas, that was a finalist in the Syracuse Downtown Writer's Book of the Year Awards in 2014. Ron resides in Central New York, and in his spare time, he dabbles in photography.
Ron also works with the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation in Canada to raise money for the Sherpa children of Nepal's Himalayas.
