In diesem Aufsatzband werden Grundfragen der Politischen Ethik aus der Perspektive lutherischer Theologie und mit dem Fokus auf aktuelle Herausforderungen einer Friedensethik aufgeworfen und beantwortet. Sowohl die Zweiregimentenlehre als auch Luthers Berufsverständnis und sein Konzept der Kooperation erweisen sich dabei als hilfreiche Impulse für ein gegenwärtiges Verständnis von Frieden und Macht.

Contributions to a Lutheran Ethics of the Political] This collection of essays discusses fundamental questions concerning political ethics from the perspective of a Lutheran theologist with a focus to detect and answer current challenges of peace ethics. Luther's "doctrine of the two governments", his understanding of vocation, and his concept of cooperation provide useful stimulus for a modern perspective on peace and power. Volker Stümke, Jahrgang 1960, studierte Evangelische Theologie und Philosophie in Hamburg, Tübingen und München.
Er ist seit 1998 Dozent für Evangelische Sozialethik an der Führungsakademie der Bundeswehr Hamburg, Von 2008 bis 2017 war er Professor für Systematische Theologie an der Kirchlichen Hochschule Wuppertal-Bethel, seit 2018 ist er apl. Professur für Systematische Theologie an der Theologischen Fakultät der Universität Rostock.
