Résumé
Her processor ran failure loops back and forth. Unable to find a solution, her hands trembled again."If you don't like it, we can choose another.""No, it's a beautiful name."She wakes up in a laboratory, and the doctor presents her to a crowd of humans and something with blinking lights moments before she's rescued. She is neither of these and part of both. There are secrets she must keep and secrets she must understand.
She could figure it all out if it weren't for the intense emotions and these illogical human names. A story where logic can only go so far before love interferes. Society is dying. Androids have taken over; humans continue to resist. Where does that put cyborgs? A story about what makes us human: Freedom, sacrifice, love? All of them. Trigger Warnings:CONTENT WARNINGS:This book contains guns, death, slavery, cannibalism, wearing of human skin, and sex.
New Adult (Mature 16+) rating due to a sexual lovescene Includes the words breast and nipple. All other descriptions are euphemistic. Partners are male/female and respect and consent is shown.
