Individuals with mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities, or those labeled as "asocial" were classified by Nazi eugenicists as "hereditarily ill, " forcibly sterilized, gassed in extermination centers, lethally injected in so-called healing and nursing homes, or starved to death.
