Our world is driven by deception! We are constantly bombarded with fake news; insincere promises and false offerings that cultivate a spirit of entitlement by propagating instant gratification and a better life through get-rich-quick schemes, an easy path to success, quickfix remedies, and more. It is hard to know who, or what to believe. We must change this, and unite to build a fair, honest, and productive society for humanity's welfare.
The things Jesus taught and practiced has the potential to magnificently improve life for all, if we stop living by this world's standards and influence society with His Way - promote peace, forgive; unite rather than divide people; be humble, fair and merciful. This most Christians know; but what we know does not count for much, if we do not practice it. This book challenges readers with a series of assignments to put their beliefs into practise, so that many small steps gradually create the habit of Following Jesus - in spirit and truth! Since 1984 I've counselled thousands of people of all ages, and from all walks of life.
Through the many one-on-one interviews conducted, I discovered that the vast majority live behind a façade, showing one image to the world while harbouring another inwardly. I eventually realised I too was lost, and didn't know God's Truth because I was focussed on other priorities - like justifying my existence and many biased viewpoints. I was challenged to change, which led me to write, promote and conduct several personal and leadership development courses and books.
This in turn led to the greatest blessings in life - especially, the respect and gratitude that I got from working with poor, disadvantaged people. It created the humility and teachable moments for God to show me the value of keeping my ego in check.
