Résumé

Alien abductions have never been like this-tens of thousands of people forced into massive cargo holds of marauding spaceships. Earth is bracing for a second attack, and U. S. Army Colonel Patrice Sullivan is part of the ground effort to repel the enemy. But when she and her soldiers are captured, she must engineer their escape from a ship traveling through the vacuum of space, using a technology no one understands, and fighting a foe so ruthless and determined, they will stop at nothing to succeed.
But before she can accomplish that, she must learn to see the people she is rescuing as more than merely her mission objective, but as individuals who may either help her or betray her.
