Résumé
From the sounds coming from the plane above her cabin, Dorcas realizes the pilot is in harm's way. She and her sled dogs rush to his aid. Fortunately for him, she planned to stay in the cabin while searching for God's plan for her life. Seeing the pilot in the open lead on the river, she hurries to help him. Once he is safely out of the water, she must warm him, or he may die of hypothermia. James needs help and is grateful to the woman, Bible thumper or not.
He wouldn't have survived without her. The next step is to get to his father, get back to the city and see about securing the aircraft against damage. When he discovers his father has gone on vacation and hasn't bothered to transfer funds to his account, James is livid. Now he must depend on the charity of the young woman. Dorcas wonders if James may be part of God's plan for her. They grow closer until the moment James discovers who her father is.
James blames Reverend Emile Hite for the breakup of his parents' marriage. An old rumor, gossip from over twenty years in the past, threatens the relationship. Will James listen? Can the truth free him and his father from their bitterness?
