Martin Yote has a dream to be a starship captain and owner of his own interstellar shipping business. To do so, he refurbishes a former Star Corps vessel, renames it Phoenix, and gathers an assortment of morphs and aliens to crew it, each with their own unusual background. They start off with high hopes and great prospects, but it isn't long before trouble finds them, and the crew is put to the test.
