Résumé

FIONAMaughty Sisters, Book One(Approx. 70, 000 words) Fiona has tried to keep her head down and stay invisible to the outside world - hiding her scars, hiding from her father, and hiding her battle with self-harm she believed she had won. American billionaire Conrad Sharpe, arrives in Dundee to save his uncle's failing business - the business Fiona has been single-handedly holding together for the last ten months.
She expects another man who would use and discard her.  Instead, he sees her, all of her - including the parts that deeply shame her. Conrad only came to Scotland because his mother and aunt demanded he did his duty to his uncle's memory.  He didn't expect to fall for the sweet, fierce, and funny woman who's running the company. But some wounds don't heal just because you fall in love, or someone says they believe in you, or makes you feel special.  Fiona is about to learn that love is about trusting someone with all of yourself - the good, the bad, and the parts that still hurt. Fiona is an emotional, steamy contemporary romance about learning that you deserve to be loved exactly as you are. Content note: This book contains a graphic depiction of self-harm and the aftermath, as well as explicit sexual content.  If you have personal experience of self-harm, please read with care.
Katie Victoria writes about real women - the kind who carry more than anyone knows, and find the strength to keep going anyway. Across contemporary, historical, and dark fantasy romance, her heroines face genuine hardship: trauma, grief, abuse, the weight of the past. But however tough the road, Katie's stories are, at their heart, hopeful ones - about the people who show up for us, the love that's worth fighting for, and the strength it takes to let yourself be loved.
She's the author of the Maughty Sisters series, contemporary romances set in Scotland following a found-family of women who've survived more than most. Katie is a member of the Romantic Novelists' Association. Her short fiction has appeared in The Saturday Evening Post and Futuristica (Metasagas Press), and won first prize in Writers' Forum Magazine's short story competition. She lives in the UK with her partner, two bagpipe-playing sons and dancing daughter. Occasionally I go on instagram or facebook @katievictoriabooks where you can reach out if you want to get in touch.
