Final Shift

 Meet Jake Tupper, former cop and current factory worker, whose job is being outsourced to China, the factory closing down, eliminating hundreds of jobs, and affecting an equal number of lives.   Now his childhood friend and co-worker has been murdered in the plant, during a shift-change between 200 people.   The police have narrowed down the list of suspects, but they haven't made an arrest.    Jake feels he has as good a shot at solving the murder as the detectives on the case, because he knows the people he works with-he is one of them.
More importantly, he wants the killer of his friend brought to justice.   Utilizing the best tool at his disposal-the shop floor grapevine-and a contact from his former job, Jake works to narrow the list of suspects, until he is certain who did it.    But does he have the right suspect? Despite his efforts he can't be sure, even when his family is directly affected-first with a break-in of their home, followed by an attempt on his life.
But by whom? Jake thinks he knows.but does he?    While looking for answers, he will witness the darker side of human behavior, even in people he thought he knew. In doing so, he must also deal with his own dark side-especially when facing what he and his wife must endure when he finally discovers the harrowing truth.
